- Evaluates, prioritizes and answers support requests from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
- Troubleshoots and repairs hardware, software and network issues on desktops and laptops.
- Provides technical support for computer hardware, peripherals and software, including Microsoft Operating Systems; Office; Project Professional; Outlook; Navision; and network access.
- Installs and updates personal computers, software, peripheral equipment, VPN, permissions, etc. as needed; provides user training as required.
- Provides ongoing server support and maintenance.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent degree from a post-secondary technical school.
Work experience: 1-2 years technical support or help desk experience
Technical Competencies:
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues associated with PC hardware (desktop/laptop), peripherals and SOHO equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Outlook, and Office Suite Products.
- Data network troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of GHOST and hardware imaging processes.
- Certification or equivalent experience in:
- Comp Tia A+
- Microsoft Certified Professional

Physical Requirements

- Must be able to use hands to install and uninstall computer and peripheral components and wiring.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
- Must be able to unpack and lift computers and computer components. Lifts and moves 10-25 pounds frequently; occasionally may have to lift or move 25-50 pounds.
- Must be able to crawl under desks to access computer connections.
