Commissioners of the Winnebago County Forest Preserve District are considering changing the district?s logo and its name.
There are bigger priorities. We think the seven commissioners should consider what four of them sought last month: The resignation of board President Randy Olson.
In the year and half that Olson has led the board, a noncontroversial entity has generated controversy because of an acquisition, its failure to hire an executive director and a proposal to dump the Sheriff?s Department in exchange for a shaky policing plan.
Olson forges ahead with little regard to what the other commissioners think and with no regard to what the general public thinks.
Winnebago County?s 39 forest preserves and three golf courses deserve better.
