Tim Burton surrounded himself with collaborators and pals including Winona Ryder and Crispin Glover to celebrate the opening of an exhibition of his life's work in Los Angeles at the weekend (28-29May11).
The Alice In Wonderland director's career is currently being honoured in a retrospective display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, giving fans a chance to see more than 700 drawings, puppets, photos, storyboards and costumes from his most famous films.
Hundreds of Burton's colleagues and friends flocked to the event on Saturday, including Ryder and Clover, who have both worked with the moviemaker several times, as well as collaborator Danny Elfman. Eva Mendes and Kelly Osbourne were also invited.
