FAITH COMMUNITY NOTES

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Riverside Baptist Church, 20057 Teman Road in Beaverdam will hold a yard and bake sale on June 2, starting at 7 a.m.

The Missionary Ministry of Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10411 Cooktown Road, will celebrate Annual Friends and Family Day on May 27 at 11:15 a.m. The worship service will be held outside, with a cookout to follow.

Little Mine Road Baptist Church, 7225 Lane's Corner Road, will celebrate the anniversary of the pastor, the Rev. Carson M. Jackson, on May 27 at the 11:30 a.m. service. The program will feature a guest speaker, reflections and presentation. A reception will be held in the church dining hall after the service.

FREDERICKSBURG

First Christian Church, 1501 Washington Ave., will celebrate Pentecost Sunday at both the 9 a.m. traditional and 11 a.m. contemporary services on May 27. After each service, May birthdays and anniversaries will be celebrated with coffee and cake in the Newman Fellowship Hall. On May 29 at 7 p.m., the church will hold a concert featuring the bluegrass gospel group Sonrise in the Newman Fellowship Hall. A love offering will be taken.

Mount Zion Baptist Church, 309 Wolfe St., will hold the first pastoral celebration of the Rev. Calvin B. Davis on May 27 at 11 a.m. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Michael McGhee of Bethel Full Life Church in Muskegon, Mich. There will be a morning service only, with dinner served immediately afterward. 540/371-2878; mtzion va.org.

STAFFORD COUNTY

Trinity Fellowship International Church, 181 Kings Highway, will hold a car wash on May 26 at the Big Lots parking lot on State Route 3, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

On May 27 at 2 p.m., Pastor Timothy Jackson and the the congregation will be at Reconciliation Community Church in Manassas.

Antioch United Methodist Church, 138 Kellogg Mill Road, will hold a strawberry festival on June 3, 4-7 p.m., featuring hamburger or hot dog, two sides, chips, beverage and strawberry shortcake for $8.50.
