UnitedHealthcare is searching for a Sales Training Manager, accountable for managing training solutions for sales professionals. Responsibilities include job specific and business needs assessment, design, development, delivery, evaluation, assessment, and measurement of training of instructor led and eLearning programs to increase overall sales growth and performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the training process including needs analysis, instructional design, facilitation, and presentation.
- Demonstrate superior consultative selling skills, communications, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Possess successful sales and/or account management experience.
- Develop sales programs for instructor-led and synchronous and asynchronous eLearning.
- Gather highly complex, technical information from various perspectives and identify key issues through listening, questioning, and clarifying to design and develop training programs.
- Identify critical training needs, develop practical working solutions to address performance gaps, analyze data to develop logical conclusions and to assess business impact of training solutions.
- Work effectively with individuals at varying levels of the organization with demonstrated ability to create, build, and maintain relationships. Proven ability to influence others, especially those outside of training.
- Use organizational ability to resolve conflicts including appreciation of alternative perspectives.
- Generate creative ideas with confidence and persuasiveness and sell ideas. Demonstrate a willingness to experiment, innovate, and explore the potential in new approaches. Improvise and respond quickly in uncertain situations.
- Coach others and provide effective feedback in a training environment.
Qualifications:
- Requires 3-5 years of successful field sales and/or account management experience
- Minimum 5 years business experience, health care preferred
- Minimum 2 years training or formal presentation experience
- Proficient project management skills
- Effective relationship building and relationship maintenance across business groups
- Takes initiative, adapts readily to change, drives to solutions
- Effective management skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- Able to achieve results in a highly matrix environment through influencing and leadership
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Multimedia experience helpful
- Training experience in areas of coaching and leadership a plus.
- Ability to travel 40%
